TRIP: The Roothub Internship Program seeks to improve the pipeline of experienced and sought-after talent on the African continent by providing real-life projects to build relevant experience & skills footprints.

The Virtual Internship program seeks to connect talents undergoing the Google Career Certificate program, and scholarship by The Roothub in order to create opportunities to gain valuable experience under the guidance of experienced mentors. The accepted courses are Data Analytics, Project Management, UX Design, Digital Marketing & e-commerce.

Format: Virtual Internship (Location is not a barrier)

Outcome: Job-ready talents armed with relevant work experience to land entry-level jobs

Timeline: Call for applications January 2023. Cohort 2 starts in February 2023

This program is powered by The Roothub as part of the learner engagement pathway. All selected participants are expected to pay N20,000 fee for the 16 weeks duration of the program. A letter of recommendation by The Roothub, would be issued at the end.

The program seeks to connect talent trained by Roothub Development Programs, Google’s Certificate program in order to create opportunities to gain valuable experience under the guidance of experienced mentors.

Goals

Build teams consisting of clients + team, mentors, and interns to drive business impact for startups.
Interns gain professional experience, and mentorship and set themselves up for a successful employment outcome.
Experienced expert mentors, and trainees share best practices and tools and enable the team’s success.

Program Structure

The program consists of multiple small projects to build MVPs for startups. Each project consists of a team from the startup including the startup founder, interns, and talents needed for the project. They form an agile team working together to complete the project goal.
The program would be delivered virtually with the option of periodic in-person or virtual meetups across Cities.
