The Roothub will officially begin operations in the City of Port Harcourt On 21st October,2019. The Roothub Accelerator Systems is thrilled to expand its footprint to Port Harcourt .
The year started on a high note as we stayed true to the year’s theme GO FORWARD. We established this through events and of course, expansion.
September ushered in a new location of the Roothub in Port-Harcourt city. This is one of the locations we hoped to situate on forward Innovation, Technology, and Business hub.
With our core goal being to reach out to many young people in the south-south Nigeria. The new Port-Harcourt branch of the Roothub began a test run operation with our free digital skills training, Tech101, which trained over 100 persons in Graphics , Web Development and Digital marketing.
The company which has trained over 11,000 young people on digital skills through Tech 101 and placed some of the past trainees in some top tech companies in the country. With a strong workforce of over 20 young and vibrant individuals whose culture is excellence and professionalism.
The plan to create more jobs and bridge the unemployment gap in the Niger Delta region starting from Akwa Ibom state and now Rivers state. The goal is to spread our tentacles one state at a time.
We do acknowlege that the City of Port Harcourt as a strong community and cultural diverse city is a fantastic place to live and work and we do look forward to growing together here.
The new venue which is a 300 man capacity and offering Co-Working space.
We are optimistic that with the expansion of the technological ,innovation and business hub will foster the growth of technology and digital ecosystem in the region.
