It’s barely a week before January runs out and then February is creeping in slowly.
Our excitement is building up as The Roothub’s new project is about to go live.
Over a year ago, The Roothub won the Google Impact Challenge for the Tech 101 project and guess what? The Project surpassed the 10,000 trainees target. The Project which was designed to equip young people in the Niger Delta region with digital skills starting from Akwa Ibom state with its sole aim of curbing unemployment faced by Niger Delta youths.
The major win for the project was to see those trained apply technology in their businesses and jobs to make it simpler.
Ngage was the answer to the big question of what’s next on how we can engage and onboard those we’ve trained through Tech101. This platform was an excellent summary and solution to the immediate unemployment problem . Ngage as this was an e-learning platform that seeks to provide continuous training to source and provide jobs for the trained.
Tech 101 was all about equipping young people on digital skills with the simplest and most accessible tool which is the Smartphone. It’s no longer news that these affordable smartphones can be found in use even in rural areas. This will make it easy for these disadvantaged youths to learn and even begin their career journey, build and upgrade their CVs, browse through available jobs, apply and get hired
We do hope you go ahead and explore this platform as soon as it goes live and do not forget to tell everyone you know about this.
Cheers to a wonderful 2020!!!!
